    Eugene Symphony guest artists Christina Pier (soprano), Barbara Rearick (mezzo-soprano), Scott Scully (tenor), and Paul Whelan (baritone) will conduct a free master class Wednesday, March 17 at 4:00 p.m. in The Studio of the Hult Center. Pier, Rearick, Scully, and Whelan, all vocal soloists appearing with the Eugene Symphony in a performance of Mozart’s Coronation Mass, will coach vocal ensembles from the University of Oregon who will each perform scenes from various operas, including Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

    Join us for a pre-concert lecture/performance with Eugene Symphony violinist, Rebecca Hunter. Ms. Hunter will lead a fascinating discussion on the life and music of Beethoven. This presentation will conclude in a performance of the first movement of Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata, which will also feature pianist Nathalie Fortin. Free and open to the public; no ticket required.
