Sasha Chandler - Violin II

Sasha Chandler is assistant principal second violin of the Eugene Symphony. She has played violin for 20 years. She grew up in Trinidad, California playing Eastern European folk music. Her top 3 favorite pieces of music are: Beethoven Op. 59 No. 3 String Quartet, Shostakovich String Quartet No. 7, and Brahms String Sextet Op. 18 in B Major. She is currently substitute violinist with Oregon Mozart players, Eugene Opera, Corvallis Symphony Orchestra, Rogue Valley Symphony, among others. Sasha graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2004 and the University of Oregon School of Music in 2009 with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. Her father plays violin, Hardanger fiddle, Macedonian gaida, Greek lyra, mandolin, recorder, and viola.
