Andreas Lang serves as assistant horn in the Eugene Symphony; he has played horn for over 40 years. Growing up in Germany, Andreas was the only musician in his family. Some of his favorite pieces include Mahler's Symphonies and Handel’s Messiah. He also plays for the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra. If he could learn a new instrument, it would be an Alphorn, Bagpipe, or Hammer Dulcimer. He graduated from the University of Konstanz, Germany and has a Master of Science in Operations Research and a PhD in Statistics from OSU. His most memorable moments with the Eugene Symphony were having the opportunity to perform alongside Renée Fleming and Yo-Yo Ma.
