Annalisa Morton - English Horn

Annalisa Morton plays oboe and English horn in the Eugene Symphony. She has been playing oboe and alto saxophone for 32 years. Her favorite music includes Bach, Iberia by Albeniz, and Ravel’s Tombeau de Couperin. She is part of the Left Coast Sax Quartet that plays classical, jazz, and world music. When asked what other instrument she always wanted to learn, she said piano, since she grew up listening to recordings of Alicia de la Roccha and Glen Gould. She grew up in Montana and Eugene, Oregon. Annalisa graduated from Cincinnati College, Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Arts degree concentrated in Music. She also graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Master of Music in Education. Her mother plays the piano and trumpet while her father played the trombone and also sang.
