• Violin I

Jannie Wei performs in the first violin section of the Eugene Symphony; she has played violin for 19 years. She also plays piano. Jannie grew up in Taiwan and Vancouver. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Mannes College of Music and a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of Music. She currently attends the University of Oregon, where she is pursing her DMA. She enjoys classical, jazz and pop music. If she were to learn a new instrument, it would be the timpani because of its importance in supporting the orchestra.
