Marketing and Patron Services Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Marketing and Director of Development

Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Location: Eugene, Oregon

Salary Range: $40,000–$50,000 annually, commensurate with experience

  • This position is responsible for graphic design and supports marketing efforts across various platforms, ensures exceptional patron experiences at concerts and events through front-of-house coordination and service, manages critical ticketing functions, and provides vital administrative and cross-departmental support. We are looking for a creative, organized, and community-focused individual with strong design skills (Adobe Creative Suite), video editing experience, and the ability to confidently engage with diverse stakeholders while managing the demands of live events. 

  • Graphic Design & Marketing 

    • Design and execute visual assets for multi-channel campaigns (email, social media, digital ads, print). 

    • Visually update and maintain website content and submit materials to community calendars. 

    • Design concert program books, signage, and print collateral. 

    • Develop design for fundraising and event materials. 

    • Coordinate design assets, printing, and distribution. 

    • Assist with short-form video content creation for web and social. 

    • Attend community events, including Eugene and Springfield Chamber of Commerce functions, to represent the Symphony and support audience development 

    Front-of-House & Patron Experience 

    • Serve as the primary contact with the Hult Center for the Performing Arts to ensure smooth front-of-house operations for all Eugene Symphony performances 

    • Coordinate on-site Symphony presence at concerts and events, including staff and volunteer roles, patron service tables, and donor recognition areas 

    • Provide pre-concert support in the Hult Center lobby and concert hall 

    • Ensure excellent patron experiences by addressing questions and concerns with a welcoming, solutions-focused approach 

    Ticketing & Box Office Coordination 

    • Set up and manage all Single Ticket and Season Ticket campaigns in collaboration with the Hult Center Ticket Office and Director of Marketing 

    • Coordinate group sales programs and targeted ticket promotions 

    • Manage ticketing data, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement pricing strategies 

    Administrative & Cross-Departmental Coordination 

    • Track patron and donor engagement across platforms to support more personalized communications and experiences 

    • Conduct research on audience development trends, potential sponsors, and donor prospects 

    • Collaborate across departments and support special projects as needed 

    • Assist with tracking and delivering benefits for broad base donors and sponsors, including recognition, ticketing, hospitality access, and post-event follow-up 

    • Assist with the production of donor and sponsor reports, photo documentation, and impact summaries 

    Required Skills and Qualifications 

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with patrons, sponsors, Board members, and volunteers 

    • Very proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign 

    • Proficient in video editing software 

    • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and remain calm in a fast-paced, live event setting 

    • A creative and curious mindset with a passion for community engagement, storytelling, and arts access 

    • Availability to work evenings and weekends for Symphony performances and events

Service Guarantees

2025/26 Season Service Guarantee for Core Complement members is 65 services, and for Full Complement members is 21 services for a full season of employment and actual service guarantee will vary depending on start date. All positions indicated above earn $148.73 per service.
