Caroline Shaw’s Music in Common Time adds contemporary rhythmic energy before Copland’s Lincoln Portrait features guest narrator Dan Carlin, host of the acclaimed Hardcore History podcast. The program culminates in Hanson’s Song of Democracy, with the Eugene Symphony Chorus, a sweeping affirmation of resilience and the enduring power of American voices.
