An all-Tchaikovsky evening places Romantic passion and melodic brilliance at center stage. Violinist Simone Porter returns with luminous tone and fearless technique in Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, one of the repertoire’s most beloved showpieces. After intermission, the rarely performed Manfred Symphony unfolds on an epic scale, surging with psychological drama and sweeping orchestral color, revealing Tchaikovsky at his most expansive and unforgettable.
This concert is a Masterwork. All Masterworks are included in a Season Subscription and eligible for $10 youth and college student tickets.
